Sylvain Lefoyer is a recognized expert in aviation safety and security, currently serving as Director of Civil Aviation Safety for the French Antilles and Guiana at the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC/DSAC AG). He oversees the certification and oversight of air operators, airport infrastructure, air navigation services, and aviation personnel across the French overseas territories. Prior to this role, he served for over eight years as Deputy Director of Aviation Security and Facilitation at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), where he led global initiatives in cybersecurity, aviation security, and transport facilitation. An engineering graduate from École des Ponts ParisTech, Sylvain Lefoyer has held several senior positions within the French Ministry for Transport, with a strong focus on transport safety, air navigation, and international cooperation.
